Eagle Rare Bourbon was introduced in 1975 by Seagram’s as a 10-year-old premium bourbon. In 1989, the brand was acquired by Sazerac, which began producing it in the 1990s at the George T. Stagg Distillery, now known as Buffalo Trace, in Frankfort, Kentucky. The original 101-proof, non-single-barrel version was discontinued in 2005. Today, Eagle Rare is known for its 10-year single-barrel expression, a 17-year release in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, and a limited 20-year edition presented in an elegant decanter.
